Hello everybody, To answer your question, no. I don't have this tune completely down. I can play it fairly well but I wouldn't whip it out at a gig yet. I hate to say it but I don't know what album it's on. I've never even heard the tune as played by Coltrane. My piano teacher gave me the leadsheet and jammed on it for a minute at his piano. I would love to post the leadsheet but I haven't posted music on here before. Can I just scan it then copy and paste? How do you guys post leadsheets and what not? Anyway, I hope to hear again from everyone.
P.S. It may just be me but there doesn't seem to be much activity on our boards lately. What's everyone been up to?

Hello everyone, Moment's Notice is a Coltrane tune that I have been working on and I whole heartedly recommend learning it. This tune works all aspects, comping some pretty heavy changes, single note playing and also lends itself very well to chord melody. The changes are pretty quick, and for some intimidating, but if taken in stride it's actually fairly simple. It's merely a number of II-V's moving up or down a half-step. Anyway, sorry about my grammar and incessant rambling but some tunes just ignite that spark again if you know what I mean. ;D

Hello everyone. I just joined and I wanted to say that this is a great site! I play through a Fender twin reverb and it has the fattest tone. I love that amp.

Hello everyone. I'm looking for some new cats to get into. I've recently been listening to Jimmy Smith, Back at the chicken shack. Kenny Burrell is incredible on that album, as he always is. Well I was wondering what ya'll might recommend for some new listening material. Thanks everybody.

It sounds great. I'm not into the prog-rock stuff as much as I used to be...but that stuff was rippin. I actually have to take off so I didn't get a chance to listen to most of the tunes. But I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of it. All the best with your music! ;D
