I've always been a user of Dunlop JazzIII's or Dunlop Delrin .71's. Delrin seems to have the superior snap that I like for soloing and fast lines.

???Could anyone help me out? I need a amp that's good for jazz and blues. I perform regularly at auditoriums and smaller gigs, so it has so be big enough to fill a room of moderate size. I like the Fender Twin reverb, but I don't know that much about the 59 Bassman. I've heard it's good for blues, but what about jazz? I need a good laid-back tone but with enough power to project. Any thoughts? Thanks

I don't like to do it, but i have to write a bad review here. For a real jazz musician, i just don't like it. the scale is too short at 24 3/4. the pick-ups, or so i think, are way too bright for anything excpet perhaps fusion jazz. but the worst thing is the maple laminate top. Gibson should be ashamed to sell this guitar for so much. sure it's a nice guitar, but so many epiphone guitars are much better for much less. All you're doing is paying for the name. i play with a tele and emperor regent through a 59 bassman.
