I think, you'll need motor tools to get it into the right shape. It's an interesting idea to do that! Good luck, Prof ... but take care of your fingers!!!

You're right. I was thinking I might need to get a Dremmel tool set. I might be able to do some of the work on a milling machine at a friend's machine shop.

Do you know how to make the slots for the strings on a wooden bridge, Prof? I mean depth and angle?

Do you know how to make the slots for the strings on a wooden bridge, Prof? I mean depth and angle? I think you mean the small grooves for the strings to rest in on the top edge of the bridge. I just use a small jeweler's file.

@ jazzalta Is your bridge already installed? What's your opinion compared with the ABR?

it's not notched yet but I can already hear a difference. It's a little brighter sounding, more articulate. Less acoustic sound for sure. I really haven't played enough with it yet. Pretty busy with my country band and my new classical. I'll keep you informed (Oh, I've got an Ultrasound amp coming too. Hopefully an improvement).
