Thanks Professor, it is an ever evolving collection. I just trimmed it down from 13 pieces. I would like to include a Django style guitar and a National Tricone Resonator at some point. If I could only have one of the present group; it would be the CS Strat as that is the most versatile.
Do you mean that you do not have a digital camera? Or that you do not have a scanner? If you need any help with any techy stuff, let me know. I am in the software business on the development side and can usually figure most computer stuff out.

I had John Thurston of Thurston Instrument Repairs in Catonsville MD do the work. He has worked on all of my guitars for years. I bought the pickup and pots from www.archtop.com and the Benedetto pieces from Stew Mac. One thing that I did was to have the output jack mounted under the finger rest instead of coming out of the end strap jack. I wanted to be able to remove the whole unit as a module and play the guitar as a total acoustic if I decided I wanted to. The pickup is a "real" Kent Armstrong vs. what I have heard is licensed offshore product with the Kent Armstrong label. You have the same pickup. I see you have a Steinberger too, really small world isn't it? I'll get a photo up to my website and then post a link, the guitar is the Antique Sunburst finish. -Al

The Kent Armstrong "offshore" pickups are made in Korea. These are not knockoffs. This is Kent's factory.Kent has set up the same tooling, machinery, and has trained the small staff, personally.I have had great results, and have read great reviews of these.Of,course I'm biased.I have known Kent for many years, and his father,Dan,before him.I use Kent's handwound pickups when I need a model that is not available in a factory model. Both are outstanding. There was a review of a Stromberg in Premier Guitar that claimed the pickups were better than anything currently available from Gibson.I use ONLY Kent's pickups in all of my guitars.

There are no licensed Kent Armstrong pickups.Duncan design pickups are made where? Not in the usa duncan factory.Just a pickup that he "approved".The factory in Korea was set up (NOT licensed ) by Kent, with the same machines and components as Kent uses in his USA handwound models.Kent also trained the workers.Just like all pickups, there has to be a factory somewhere.I use both Kent's handwound and factory wound pickups in all of my guitars, and have never been disapointed.Right now I have a set of his prototype pickups with opposed coils. These face sideways, opposing each other and have a magnet inside of each coil. There is a vertical center bar which gives the apperance of a Charlie Christian pickup.I wish I knew how to post pix. I have these installed in thinline Stromberg Monterey. They sound great in the shop, but I'll know better when I use them onstage.
