I just started using a Fender Blues Jr. with a 12" Weber Blue Dog Ceramic speaker and long reverb pan upgrade. It is a quite good jazz amp and very easy to haul around. I am a bit surprised that a 15 watt EL-84 based amp can sound as clean as this does. The Blues Jr. also gets a good overdriven tone when called for. I use a Carl Martin compressor and a Keeley modded TS-808 Tube Screamer. I haven't tried the Heritage Golden Eagle through it yet, just the H-550, H-535 and the other solid body guitars. I've recently added two USA Hamer archtop Studio model guitars to the collection, a flame top Duncan humbucker and a gold top P-90. The P-90 model with .11 strings can get some good jazz tones. Those Hamer guitars are a very pleasant surprise! I've been playing the Golden Eagle exclusively acoustic for some time now. I think I might be selling my Tech 21 TM 60, as I do not see the need for it anymore, maybe even the Princeton. I will probably keep the Power Engine 60 to run the POD through and I doubt I will ever get rid of the Boogie MkIIc+ because it just looks so cool -Al I use a 1984 Mesa Boogie Mark IIc+ (wood/wicker) through the clean channel when I have the strength to lift it . For jams and such I really like my Tech 21 Trademark 60 or my POD 2.0 through a Tech 21 Power Engine 60. The Tech 21 stuff is great (I also have a Trademark 10). I used to use a early 70s Fender Princeton, but it didn't have reverb and I always want a little reverb. The Princeton is now the least used of my amps, seems kind of a shame.

My main amp is a Fender Hot Rod DeVille 4 X 10. I wasn't a Fender fan when I bought it, but when I played through it, I was very impressed.

My main amp is a Roland JC90. I also have a Roland Cube (tiny thing) to carry to friends homes, etc., and a Fender Twin from "way back when" that needs a tad of work. Some day, I'll get around to working on it.

Sorry, but I've been trying to post here for three days, and the program wouldn't let me...AGAIN. Mahayana, The MMB is a well loved guitar amp. They are said to respond very well to better quality speakers, and some people even make new cabs for them so they can house a 15, which is said to be a really great little amp.

Professor1, I had Fender's Prinston Stereo Chorus and an Accoustasonic 30. I recently traded both for the larger Accoustasonic Junior DSP. It has the stereo of the Prinston with the much richer (to my ears) sound of the 30. It has a closed back cabinet which may give it a bassier sound. You may want to give this one a whirl at a music store and see what you think. I ended up killing 2 birds with one stone. Is Killer with the L4CES and new Ibanez AF84E. Chow buddy. ?;^)~

I use a Heritage H-535 through a Peavey Classic 30. I am very happy with this amp. I did quite a bit of research and based on reviews and price it came back to the Peavey (although now I see a lot about the Crate V-Series amps which I would love to check out). I was on a pretty tight budget so I didn't want to get a Polytone and then have lots of technical issues with it as I have heard is fairly common. Also, I had used a Peavey Classic 20 or 15 years ago when I taught guitar and it seemed so much warmer to me personally than the Fender Hotrod Series amps. They seemed a bit too bright as if the presence dial was always turned up or something--kind of harsh to me. The Peavey just had a great mellow sound with rich reverb and a nice growl if need be. When it came time to get the amp last year I got a chance to try out the Classic 30 next to a Polytone and although the Polytone was great, I just thought the "life" and response of the Classic 30 was amazing--it had such a vintage jazz sound. Well, it has been a while now since I have had it and I am still loving the sound and it is very reliable. I use it with a Boss DD6 Delay and a Boss GE7 EQ pedal.

I've been using a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. It's exactly what I want from an amp. It sparkles just like a Fender amp should and gives great tube tone. If I get another amp for gigs you can bet it'll be a fender to combine with this baby, maybe something like a Deluxe Reverb.
I have been thinking about a good practice amp and something to use for solo gigs like a polytone or jazzkat as I've heard great things about both.
