Hi.
I'm in Delaware for a few days, visiting my mother at her nursing home. She is sleepy, but still nods or shakes her head to direct questions when she's alert (about a dozen times this morning).
Anybody else planning to travel this Spring or Summer?

Hi Mahayana! Me, my wife and my son are going to spend 10 days in Rhodos/Greece this summer. Sun, beach and sea. Just hanging around and let the good times roll!

Well, now that you mention it, I'm in San Antonio, Texas right now. Mrs. P and I are at a medical convention, I'm at their "Cyber-Cafe". Had some goooood Margaritas yesterday. Gonna go to the Alamo after lunch...and more Margaritas. Hope you guys are having fun. I will be. ;D

I'm set to fly back to Dallas this afternoon, then a 3 hour drive and I'm home! This wasn't a fun vacation, but it's remarkable how seeing a parent at the end of their life makes you reflect on your own. And I got to hang out with my sisters, as well.

Hi guys! checking in from the San Antonio convention center. I just got out of the exhibit hall. Man! Talk about some loot! I got all kinds of cool stuff, from an engraved fountain pen set to a million pens, to a fold-up umbrella, and other stuff i can't remember anymore. Now it's time for a margarita!...or three.

Last update from San Antonio...
We're gonna drive back in a little while. We had a great time. My feet hurt from walking so much. See y'all later. ;D

Well, the trip back was quite on ordeal. It seems that the entire population of Texas was coming home from spring break at the same time. We spent hours below 15 mph in an endless traffic jam. The 300 mile trip took over 7 hours. Last time I get talked into driving there.

Just a footnote- my mom died last night a 6:45. I'll be busy with cleaning up and picking up relatives, all the other things for a few days.

Mahayana, my sincere condolences. I know what it is like to lose a parent (both of mine are gone). Please know that I'll be thinking of and praying for you and your family.

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm still doing family things, all the business related to estate settling.
I quit a job I didn't like and will likely be visiting the Nashville area soon, seeing grandchildren (ages 3 and 5), and shopping for my next guitar. I expect to play hundreds, find one to love as much as my old Guild. Nashville is full of used guitars, as well as lots of free live music.
I'm still pretty sad about my mom, guess it takes awhile. Call yours up if you can- you'll sure miss them when they're gone.

It does take a while mahayana. For a year after my dad died, I thought of him everyday, sometimes many times a day. I still miss him and Mom terribly. I don't think one ever gets over this kind of loss. But we do get on, one step at a time, one day at a time.

Mrs. Prof wants to take a trip to have some fun, and we've been thinking of going to New York City. I know some people up there, and might be able to attend a jam even.

Well, it's official, we'll be in New York city in mid June. A friend is going to host a blues jam in my honor - cuz I did the same thing when he came to Texas a few times.
Any of you guys in New york?
