I've just bought an Ibanez AF105F - hasn't arrived yet. I'll be using it as an electric of course onstage, but have any of you used this type of guitar as an acoustic archtop for recording? I guess it has a pretty 'timid' tone acoustically, but can it be used for acoustic rhythm by close-micing, or attaching a contact pickup of some sort in the studio etc? Any experience? I notice very few of the big name jazz players ever use their archtops in acoustic mode...
