Hello members,
I just placed a post about Charlie Christian's improvising
and wanted to share another intersting tidbit.
CC died of tuberculosis at age 25 in NYC at the
old famed Seaview Sanitorium. It now is in ruins.
But for an education I refer you to a group in NYC
called "Dark Passage". Their people explore the old
ruins of buildings and one of their favorite penetrations
is that of abandonded hospitals, particularly state
hospitals for the insane.

and click on "hospital hopscotch". The Seaview Sanitorium is one to look at since CC died there in 1942.
The other hospitals are good for a few shivers up the
spine late at night if you aren't too chicken to look
at the photos. LOL
