...is those guys are ancient. Apparently, I play in the second oldest jazz band in the world. A few weeks ago, our conductor had to retire because he had a small stroke, he's near 90. He played with the Stan Kenton band as well as the Tommy Dorsey band. Last Thursday another one of the guys had to have a triple heart bypass and a new heart valve. Last fall, one guy missed 6 weeks because of a "procedure". These guys are all great folks, but it's gonna be hard to just watch them all die off.
