Jimmy Heath came to my school for a concert/clinic, I'm not a music major but I couldn't pass up a free concert from Jimmy Heath. Sadly, there weren't that many people in attendance.
Heath didn't mind though, "It's cool, we're gonna give it to you. Give it to two if we have to."
All throughout the performance he would holler yea! and aiight! very cool cat. As for the material played, I know one was an original, there was a Horace Silver piano solo (grace city maybe) that was pretty incredible. The entire band was really tight, I don't think the bassist looked as his fingerboard once... he made it look so easy.
I only wish I would've thought up some questions, can you believe nobody had anything to ask him?
