I use a ts9 with my es175+marshall6100/fender deluxe for jazz things and it sound great, it's funny cause there is no overdrive with the es175 but just a general boost in the sound (more present and loud). i thing this pedal is a good deal, as you can use it in a multiple way with different guitar to have very distintive sound (for instance strat+ts9+deluxe=SRV )

Yes, The Tubescreamer is a great overdrive pedal. What do you think about the Marshall bluesbreaker 2? BPGUITARPK

Being a strong advocate of Boss products, I use a Boss ME-50. It covers all the bases and is extremely user friendly (knobs you can turn). I cover a lot of styles with a lot of guitars and this can do it all.

It depends on the situation. For fusion I use the Marshall shreadmaster or Ibanez TS-9. For rock or blues amp distortion, Marshall Guv'nor, TS-9 or Boss SD-1. For more experimental or progressive sounds I like the Big Muff. For straight-ahead jazz there's of course no need for overdrive.
