Piezo?

Hi! I'm a newb on this forum, and I'm glad to be a part of jazz community, where guitar playing is not treated as a kind of sport... where guitarists are musicians, not comptetitors or sprotsmen! And now here's my question. I've been listening much to Wes Montgomery's L5 and found out that his sound is like a bit acoustic... of course there was no piezo pickup on his guitar, but I heard, that there's some kind of way to get an acoustic sound and a deep jazz sound in a mix... to put a piezo on a guitar... What do you think about it? Can anyone give me examples of neck humbacker's sound mixed with piezo, so I could know if I need this sound or not? Thanks!

If you're talking about a piezo on an archtop, there are a variety of bridge pickups available. In those days, some folks used to mic their archtops as well. Personally speaking, if I had an L5, if I wanted additional "sound" I'd opt for the miking process.

I'd like to have no feedback I've heard of Fishman Archtop piezo pickup - comes with an ebony bridge and costs for about a hundred...
