Ive just been gettin into the jazz world about a year or so ago when i picked up my first realbook. Ever since then, i've tinkered around with it trying to shape my improvision and soloing into a more jazzy surface, but my blues and classical roots jump into my solos quite a bit. I've recently been trying to encorporate some of my effect pedals into my music with some quarky and disestablished results (messin with compression sustainers, envelope filters and phasers). Recentaly i picked up a DD-5 and i was very much intrigued, but for the most part, i need some help containing it; tryin to make it sound enjoyable and not so messy. I just got a pd-2 for the tone input, and i guess i just need some inspiration or somthn to get me started. Suggestions?

I play a jazz/folk type fusion music. Small combos and duos. I use a dd-3 and a boss chorus pedal. Just keep the effects to a absolute minimum. I use them just to fatten up the guitar sound a bit. You only notice them when there not on!
