Today, I picked up my new Crate V3112 amp. It sounds great! I ordered it with a Tone Tubby brand hemp speaker that is offered as an option. This is a really good sounding amp. I have a jazz gig next Thursday, and I'll let you know how it works out.

Here it is: Crate V3112 Tube Guitar Amplifier (12 Inch, 30 Watts with Reverb) The Crate V3112 is an enhanced single channel amp that operates in Class A configuration, and generates 30 Watts RMS through a single 12" Celestion speaker. The Class A circuit essentially runs the Groove Tubes EL84's at full output at all times. For the tone and feel fanatic, this provides instant response, dramatic wolf tones and harmonics which are the hallmark of these classic circuit designs. The V3112 has internal spring reverb unit to produce a huge, wet sound, and quite possibly may be the best sounding 30-Watt Class A tube amp in the market. Players around the world are flocking to the v-series for something a little different. Check it out! Crate V-Series Guitar Amps - creating a unique blend of great tone with revolutionary features for the worlds most discriminating players. Legendary players like Bo Diddley, Joe Walsh, Vernon Reid and many others are discovering the power, clarity and great tones of the V-Series. Looks sweet . I would love to try one. Good luck with it and let us how how it sounds at the gig.

Namaste, No, it's a tube amp, like pinsk posted the info for. Mine has the optional upgraded speaker, which is about 5 pounds heavier than the Celestion. It sounds great, but somehow, between last night and this morning I sprained my ankle, with bulging and swelling. The problem is, (other than having a sprained ankle that I have no idea how it happened), that I have stuff I need to do today. Including taking that amp to a jam session.

I think they go for around 3 - $400 new. Played one at a guitar center. Decent amps for the money.
