Does anyone have any experience with these? From what I've read, they sound awfully inviting

I have a Jake right now that I'm really loving. It's the closest thing I've had to the "perfect" amp for me...something that sounds like great vintage Fender cleans and classic Marshall dirt/overdrive. There are few others of his amps I'm considering getting for different reasons. If you're thinking of getting one, you should find a dealer and go try a few out to see if you can find one that fits your needs.

That's the problem I'm having. I haven't be able to locate anyone in my area who carries them.

I tried this one Here is the description: NEW Rivera JAZZ SUPREMA – made especially for carved archtops. “An upgrade of the amp that Wes used in the 60’s”. Wes used a retrofit Fender 60’s Blackface Princeton Reverb with an Alnico 15, which I’ve been using for the last 2 years and this Rivera kills the Wes retrofit. Clean tube warmth and killer punch. This combo amp is a modified version of the award winning R Series channel switching chassis, with 55 watts of EL-34 power, fitted with a Jensen Alnico 15” speaker. Tons of smooth bottom end, creamy mids, and sweet highs, and tremendous “ killer punch”! Weighs only 40 lbs for all you jazzers, who won’t carry heavy amps, but want killer punch and sound. Styled in a vintage motif with Black Tolex® and tri-tone silver/black grille cloth, or burgundy and cream as shown. Musician-friendly features include 2 fully independent preamp channels, each with it’s own distinct voicing and foot switchable boosts delivering 4 easy to dial up sounds, 6-spring Hammond Reverb, built in active effects loop with send and return level controls, line out, and 2 speaker jacks Cabinet covering: Black Tolex® Vinyl. Grille Cloth Color: Tri-Tone Silver/Black Cabinet Hardware: Chrome plated metal corners, leather handle. Dimensions: 20H”x 20”W”x 9D” Weight: 40lbs. Make an appointment to visit our new Showroom in Summit, NJ. We are only 30 minutes from Manhattan by car; 2 blocks from the Summit train station - 35 minutes from NYC on the midtown direct! Used a Palen through it. I felt like I was in heaven

That looks like a really cool amp! I'd love to try one out if I can find one near me. I'm lucky enough to have a couple of dealers relatively close. There are a lot of the bigger places near me too and some used Riveras show up in those places.
I was always advised to buy a Rivera used since their new prices are pretty high. If you scour ebay and used shops, you can find the model you want for significant savings.

i have a R100 Duo Twelve. I have had it for 12 years, and never need another amp. Hardwearing, reliable. awesome sound for all styles. I always dreamt of getting a mesa boogie, but why, this amp is all i need. My archtop sounds great through it, have also used my les paul through it for jazz gigs.
