Does anyone else here compose? Well, I do. I have always wanted a drafting table to do composition projects, but they have been too expensive. So, yesterday, I found a great deal on a new table for $69. It's 32" x 40". I like to write for orchestra, and large bands. The paper I use is on big pads 12" x 16" or even larger. The angled table makes it much easier to work with the big paper, and gives me room to lay out several sheets at the same time. The computer comes last in the process when I do it because of the limitations of the screen size, and the need to see entire pages at a time.

Hi Prof. That sounds like a good idea for what you need. I do all my arranging at the computer.

Well, I'd like to be able to use the computer, but the various toolbars take half the screen, (mine's 15"), and then you can't get but a partial page on screen in a readable size.
The piece I'm working on will have parts for 17 different instruments. That's not counting the instruments that will have divided parts, like F horns, 1st Violins, and Clarinets, etc.
I know it sounds like I'm complaining, but it really is fun. ;D
