Just for you regulars, my new moniker is "namaste" I had too much difficulty signing in so I decided to go with something brand new.

Hope this name gives less hassle. Now, what does 'namaste' mean, what led you to this choice?
Mahayana means "big boat" or "greater ox-cart." It's a zen thing.

From the internet:
"Namaste is basically a Hindu greeting. Two hands pressed together and held near the heart with the head gently bowed as one says, "Namaste." Thus it is both a spoken greeting and a gesture It is saying, silently, "I see the Deity in us both, and bow before Him or Her.
Namaste is pronounced as "Namastay", with the first two a's as the first a in "America" and the ay as in "stay", but with the t pronounced soft..."
I chose this name as I feel it appropriately describes my spiritual path as of late.

Just wondering how you're doing today. Is the spiritual path providing calm and comfort?
I like this-
"As stars, a lamp, a fault of vision, As dewdrops or a bubble, A dream, a lightning flash, a cloud, So one should see all things."
Buddha (Diamond Sutra)

I have my moments M. But overall, I'm much more a peace than I used to be. I'm contemplating meditation at a serious level. Just need the push.

Another one of those old sayings is "don't push the river." But I appreciate the impulse. I've imagined turning this farm into a meditation retreat. I like zazen, walking meditation, a little yoga. Most religious doctrines don't make much sense to me, so I haven't participated in many organized scenes. More attuned to zen buddhism than anything else.
"om" is a good mantra, namaste.

That's some good idea you have there...Mahayana,...to turn your farm into a retreat. Meditation has been my main way to explore spirituality.Just meditation on breath leading to meditation on -
