Hey guys! I got a new digital camera for Christmas, and I thought I might post some photographs. How do I do that exactly?

Hi there.
You need a web host -- somewhere to host the pictures so they'll be accessible via web browser. Then you cut and paste the URL to the picture in between the [ img ] [ /img ] tags here on the board.
Be warned, however, that some of the "free" web hosts won't allow offsite linking, so you should check out their policies before wasting your time registering. I'm not sure what a good free web host is. I usually host my own.

Looks like you got it. I was going to recommend photobucket, but wasn't sure if they allowed offsite linking. Nice guitars! I'll probably be getting something in the ES-335 style category in 06 to go with my 175. I'm probably not going to buy Gibson though unless a stumble on to a really nice one at a great price.

Yes, I used Photobucket. My 335 is a 1973 model. All Gibsons seem to be different, so just find one that you can't put down, and you're there. Many of the new 335s I've seen are VERY heavy - Les Paul Custom type heavy. I don't know what they're thinking over there at Gibson.

Nice pics, Prof. You'll like not buying film and paying for developing.
There's a long thread here called 'Steve Playing' where we went through picture posting, but looks like you are a quick study. Getting the dimensions small enough is a common problem. You have to size down pictures before you attach them to email or you'll send people things that are too big to see. My step-daughter did that to us once, lol.
You can take a picture of a music score or head, too, and post that (like I did at NARDIS). Have fun with that present!

I don't know what they're thinking over there at Gibson. My 175 is a 2000 model. I only had one other jazz box prior to this one and it was something pretty cheap. Although I've grown to like it and use it quite a lot, I'm not 100% sure it's the best sounding, most resonant 175 I could have gotten for the same money. (I got it on ebay). I'm not sure how heavy they should ideally be, but this one seems kinda' heavy too. Not really as bad as a beefy Lester. I guess I should weigh it some day. I always keep my eyes peeled for older ones, but sadly don't come across old ones or new ones that frequently. If I do though, I can always turn mine around for more or less the same I paid for it. It's a blonde and it's in pretty decent condition. They sell pretty well on the ebay. While I was looking for a 175, there was a new one in a shop that I liked the sound of a lot, but it had some really bad dings and something almost like checking on it (though it was only a couple months old and was being sold as a brand new guitar). I would have gone for it had they knocked like 35% or more off the price. But the lame-o store wouldn't take more than like $100. off the price. They probably couldn't because of Gibson's strict policies, but still that thing was a 2nd at best and should have been marked as such. Don't know where they're headed as a company, but I'm pretty much convinced there are some really talented luthiers making much better guitars for about the same money.

I had an ES-165 Herb Ellis model with a giant neck that was really heavy, too.
I can't describe how pleased I am with my new Ibanez Artstar.
