Dear Forum Members,
First of all, Happy Holidays to all of you. May the New Year bring you lots of joy and musical successes.
My name is Lubo Astinov. I am a composer of modern orchestral concert music, a jazz performer and a music teacher. I have graduated from Berklee College of Music and my principal instrument is guitar, although I also play piano (not to the level of proficiency I have on the guitar though.) I have been referred to this forum as an active and interesting musician's meeting point.
I am a very dedicated music teacher. I love to provide education and I have been a music teacher for more than eight years now. I have joined this forum and I am writing to you to let you know of a website I have created that aims to develop, enrich and educate musicians both amateur and professionals in areas such as Guitar Techniques, Jazz Improvisation, Music Theory, Rock Guitar Techniques, Solfege and Music Reading and many others. My website features video and software lessons and courses in all those subjects.
The URL is www.musiclessonsonline.net
Free lessons are also available and the option to request a lesson on particular subject makes finding what you want to learn an easy process. Currently there is a free lesson on Charlie Parker’s Donna Lee and also on “The Flight of The Bumble Bee” by Rimsky Korsakov arranged for electric guitar.
I have tried to create a website that aims not to one particular group of musicians at certain level of proficiency, but to cover a larger ground, so almost any person from any level of technical and musical adequacy on the instrument could find something useful. That is why all of the courses have a beginner, intermediate and advanced levels (some courses are still being developed).
I realize that there are probably a lot of great players here that are playing at a very advanced, professional level and also there probably are players at an intermediate and beginner levels. Which ever the case, I would be very happy if you take the time to visit my website. I hope that you will be able to find some things that are interesting to you.
Thank you very much for your time. Good Luck with all your musical adventures!
Once Again, Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
Lubo Astinov
