Anyone care to offer some advice on kinds of flatwound strings that I cld put on my Ibanez semi-hollow guitar. I've got D'addarrio chromes on at the moment (11-52). I don't think trhat these are enuine flatwounds but they do feel good and seem to have a warmer tone than the smaller regular electric strings I replaced. Has anyone got any preferred flatwounds or has anyone tried Elixir polyweb electric guitar strings?

Hi Mistral. I use Fender flats (52-12) on my Gibson ES-175. I replace the 12 with a 13 to even out the set a bit. These are awesome strings (ala Joe Pass sound), cheap, but are fairly limited re sound. If you're into pure jazz give these a try.
