What type for tuner do you have? I have a fender floor pedal tuner which is ok. I also have and intellitouch that clips on to the headstock which I love for the fact that it does not need wires. I was thinking of getting either the Peterson V-SAM Virtual Strobe / Audio Tuner with Metronome, or the new Peterson StroboStomp Virtual Strobe Pedal and DI pedal. I really love the accuracy of those stobe tuners. Problem is that they are pretty expensive. I guess you get what you pay for.

I use an inexpensive pedal tuner when i play in groups, just because it is fast and convenient. Also, it lets me tune up in a noisey situation...like before jazz band rehearsal starts. I would like to get a nicer one, like a Boss TU-2, but it just hasn't been necessary yet. The strobe pedal thingy is nearly $200. I wonder if it will be just as useless in the daylight as others are.
Otherwise, I really prefer to use a tuning fork...A=440

I got a couple of cheapo's: Seiko and Yamaha. Plus I have one in my Behringer amp and one in my Boss ME50 floor pedal. Guess there's no excuse then for me not to be in tune.

I have the Peterson Virtual Strobe, got it at Musician's Friend at a Blem price of about $100 off. That was pretty afforable. I use it and sometimes the tuner in the POD 2.0 (if that is what I am playing through). The Peterson is very accurate.

The Petersons seem pretty cool. How do you like it? New ones are $190, so they would need to be REALLY, REALLY cool before I would get one.

I like it, but it is more complicated than need be for just guitar tuning. It can do so much that I will never have a need for. I do like it when I am setting intonation while doing a guitar setup.
