I was puzzling over where to put a thread on open string jazzchords, had the inspiration to make this section into a place to collect the chords and progressions that you play when you are comping.

Prof warned me not to be too arbitrary at Admin, so before I move a bunch of chord threads over here, let me know if this change makes sense to you. OK?

It's a valid category, given that we're talking jazz guitar here. Lenny Breau practically made a style of open string chords. And they are kind of in a category all of their own. Sure, why not.

Ah, yes...the change I made wasn't starting a new section for those chords. What I changed was the name of the Comping section.
