Duke Ellington first popular hit, written in 1933.
Solitude
--------Cmaj7---Am7-------Dm7-----------G11--------------------------Cmaj7 Bbmaj7 Abmaj7 In my solitude you haunt me.......with reveries of days gone by.
G7+5--Cmaj7--Am7--D9-----------------G11---------------------------Cmaj7 C9 In my solitude you taunt me with memories that never die.
Dm7-------Ebdim-------------------------------------C6----------------------G13 C9 I sit in my chair, I'm filled with despair; there's no one could be so sad.
-------Dm7--------------------Ebdim-------------C6---------------------C#dim G7 With gloom everywhere I sit and I stare. I know that I'll soon go mad.
--------Cmaj7--Caug/Gb---Fmaj7----------G11-----------------------------------Cmaj7 Abmaj7 Bbmaj7 Cadd9
In my solitude I'm........... praying. Dear Lord above, send back my love.
edit- apologies for the program rearranging this, honest, I typed the chords where they go. Maybe you can figure it out until I get a chance to finesse.

I had the same problem. But, thanks for the job you did. I play this tune kinda close to the Joe Pass version, with a little "stuff" of my own. A great tune.

I'm sure it would be simple to have little programs in 'reply' for measures, tab, and fill-in-the-blank chord diagrams. In a perfect board...
I really don't mind goofing with edit, it just would be simpler if the program didn't move things around so unpredictably
JA, would you mind copying down the Joe Pass chords to this? I'd be interested in seeing some of your chord phrases, too. You know, several chords you play in order, written in the X 0 11 9 9 12 form? Heck, I just like to sit in front of the computer and play guitar.

This is how it's supposed to look, took about 15 minutes, using the preview feature to look at each line, add or subtract dashes between chords. Whew!
