So, has anybody played it, strummed the chords?
This is an easy one to perform solo. Easy chords, and the melody notes fall right in so you can sustain the chords while you play the melody. You can put the crossed-out chords in when you play it pretty fast, just sounds better without them at a slow tempo.
Do you like it? Must be the simplest Miles Davis tune.

If anyone has not heard it before go to nardisjazz.com/ and the site actually plays it.

Does anyone want to see a simple chord-melody for this, the way I play it?

My pleasure. I'll get it in this weekend.
Tab is the easiest way to show exactly where you play something, but doesn't do the time or dynamics like standard notation. So, please play it from the little head above a few times to get how the melody sounds, how the chord pattern works.
Nothing tricky, promise. I use the Fmaj7 and Emaj7 based on the open Dmaj7 XX0222 in places, so strum XX3555 (I really play it X33555 though some might call that "muddy", and do the 555 with little finger or ring finger as required).
More later.

i guess i'll have to try it now. ;D Maybe later, though, I've gotta clean up for company later. We're gonna grill some ribs, and then settle down to some "pickin' an' grinnin' ".

Just curious if anyone has played this.
Can you see the tab OK? On my computer, the scanned-in head (first post) fits the screen when I scroll right a couple of clicks, and the homemade tab is almost right, though some of the chords lean a little.

Oh yes! And a BIG Thank You to boot! This is one of my favorites to play along with. Never actually seen it written down so this will help a whole lot. I have a great version by Ralph Towner in the player as we speak. Album is called "Solo Concert" and got mine on Amazon. Also have a version by Mike Stern (more blusey). Thanks again. Steve ?;^)~
