Thanks, kawe. See if I can get the simple version in tonight after work. It has lots of pairs of open chords, with melody notes in between. Easy to play and memorize.

It's a nice one M. Curious tho. Did you change octaves in the middle? A nice touch if you did. I've done that a few times, especially with some Bill Evans stuff I've arranged.

Yeah, I dropped down on this one, though I sometimes use other chords to stay with the melody and go on up the neck.
This is really simpler than the sheet music I learned it from, just the way I wound up playing it.

I tried to make a version of my own. *** The tab is kept very simple --> you have to know the melody to play it right. I hope the numbers are not small to read them. Alternative for bar 31: F7b9 up in Minor thirds to B7b9

Hey nice job Kawe. You, like Mahayana, use the octave shift. Quite effective. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, jazzalta! And ... any suggestions are welcome, because comping / chord soloing is what I'd really like to learn.

I'll second JA, nice job!
We'll have to call your version intermediate, since mine features much simpler chords (F#, open D with added notes, open G with added notes, easy 3 note chords, etc).
It's fun to work these out, no?
BTW, the numbers are large enough, my only suggestion would be to put a couple fewer measures per line next time, as the image widened the thread and requires scrolling side-to-side to see on my computer. (Not a big deal, I just printed it).
Again, nice version, thanks!.

M, how many bars can you see on your screen without scrolling? Yes, it's fun combing the parts of two players (rhythm and melody) in one.

All of measures 8, 16, and 27 show at the right. I bet if the "chopped off" measures were shifted down, the staff that now has measures 31-34 would be about the same length as the others.
Thanks for "tinkering" with this. Good man!
