if i install a pickup on my classical guitar, will i need to buy a new amp (my current amp is a fender hot rod deluxe)? i mean, the pickup alone will be close to $100, i reallydon't want to buy a new amp to accomadate it.

Hi doctaj. I have a Fender classical that I play sometimes through my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. I find, though, that a solid state amp works better for me and doesn't tend to color the sound as much. What kind of pickup are you considering?
