We have 3 dogs, one cat, two cockatiels, 7 frogs.
I hesitated to tell you about the frogs- my wife caught all of them, they live in the greenhouse to help with pest control. The only one she handles much is named Sipoweitz.

Greenhouse pest control...that's a great idea! I think we all should be doing more of that kind of thinking. I know a person that collects those giant brown spiders in the country to bring back to town to protect her roses. I forget the name, they're all over rural Texas. They are harmless, but they are pretty scary looking.

We have a cat called Miko......she's pretty small but nevertheless terrorises the bird community around..every time we put a bell collar on her she manages to tear it off and continues her hunting with great success(feathers and bird remains appear in odd corners of the house at frequent intervals).Altho I admire her abilities it's a bit of a drag because the birds she kills are pretty nice and like to sing all day in the trees.....and having Miko creep up is a bit of a song killer. Also a dog .We had a purebred Chin which escaped our custody and mated with the terrier across the road.....this resulted in the Caesarian birth of two pups ,one we were able to give away......the other one ,ugly as sin managed to hang in,...the Chin mother got run over(probably going across the road for another session) and we were left with this strange looking Chin/Terrier cross..... We called him Bo Diddley. I quite like my dog.He really is one of a kind...like a strangely altered chord!

Well, we're down to just one dog and one cat now. The German Sheperd dog ended up getting sick from side effects of the medicine, so we had to stop it. But then, her pain was so bad that she wouldn't eat, and couldn't get up to pee. On Good Friday, Mrs. P took Misty the Shepherd to the vet again, and it was determined and decided that it was best that she not suffer any longer. I hadn't mentioned it because it's still hard to think about. We had her cremated, and she's in a lovely cedar box/urn in the living room. In the past, I had made little white painted steel crosses with names machined into them for the back yard. There are 2 there now, and I need to make 2 more. If I add any more, people will think we're serial killers. I wanted to make bronze markers to lay on the ground, but I can't find any thick wide bronze stock. I'm not sure what to use right now.

Puppy update: Well, after we had misty out down, our other dog, Blu, was just not right. We know the two were related, but we aren't sure exactly how. We got them from the pound. Anyway, blu's grieving had only gotten worse until Sunday night, when he passed away.
