The great computer crash of '06

Well, I'm back. Sorry I ain't been around much lately. I've been really busy. I did finish a big band score earlier this summer, and now I'm taking a summer course.

Anyway, my computer was giving me an error message. I tried ti fixit, but it ended up crashing bigtime. It wouldn't even turn on the "on" light of the monitor anymore. Wasted about 2 whole days screwing with it and setting up my new comuter.

So, now I'm back on a whole new rig with a nice flat monitor and a cool new speaker system.

BTW, anybody done any graduate level music analysis of Bach stuff?

Hi Prof. Nice to see you're back. On the Bach stuff, I've done nothing on a graduate level. Just some analysis on an undergraduate basis. And that was some time ago. Good luck.

Tell me it didn't crash on 06/06/06. I wonder what the numerologists will come up with next.

Just some more OT- I bought another house on Friday. It's near Texarkana, a 3 bedroom brick with 5 acres for $31,500. It's an FHA foreclosure deal, I'd have to get long-winded to explain all that's wrong with it. Anyway, we're looking forward to living where it rains more than Abilene's 20" a year.

I'd love to have some land. I'm a veteran, so I can score a cool land loan. I'm thinking 15 - 20 acres with a modest house and a nice shop/jam room/barn-type thingy.
