Any advice on good places to purchase jazz CDs?
I've belonged to the Jazz Historical Society and the "12 Free CDs" BMG club. Also bought a few obscure albums through gemm.com. I get newsletters from VH1, but never bought through them.
Is there any place that has the whole catalog, specializes in our kind of music?
Downloads are excruciatingly slow on my dial-up.

Hey, guys. Here's one of my threads that got zip replies. It happens! Got a "Winter Sale" catalog in the mail yesterday from a place in California called Concord Music Group, mostly jazz. Their email catalog is www.concordcatalog.com

I usually just use Amazon.com or eBay if I'm not shopping locally. My jazz collection is relatively small though, so it's very easy to just browse and find so many things I want.

Wow, a three year old thread. Well, here goes. One of my favorite sources for jazz (and other) music is estate sales. There is almost alway a box of LPs and often jazz mixed in. With a little care, you can find some great out-of-print titles that aren't even available on CD. It takes a bit of effort to play the vinyl into a .wav file, but it's worth it. A couple of weekends ago, I picked up a dozen jazz albums for $6! Some great ones like The Vince Guaraldi - Conte Candoli Quartet and Roman Guitar by Tony Mattola.
