Hi. I'm back again. I changed my profile- new e-mail address and location. Still haven't finished moving from West Texas, but getting settled in my new place.
I just removed some duplicate posts from various threads, which got me thinking again of cleaning up the messageboard. There's IMO lots of good things here, also some really dated banter of little value.
I'll try to get back in the habit of checking here every day, and responding to your posts. If you have suggestions, they really are welcome. Maybe 2008 will see more folks talking to each other again- who knows?

I just read through the "members" list- 419 never posted anything. Would anyone mind if I delete the oldest of these? I'll leave folks that joined in the last year.

Done. I guess that I just made up a rule. You have to make a post within a year of joining to stay a member.
I haven't changed any content yet- but help me out if you feel like it. I'm picturing a simpler board, with everything here useful in some way to jazz guitar players. Or at least mildly interesting or funny.
See any good targets for the delete button?

How about deleting everything older than 2007 in the "Classified" section?
Is that a no-brainer?

I took most of the old classifieds out, and got rid of a few "red x" pictures. The one that was in the page header used to be a little guy playing a guitar. Now it just says "home."
Anybody notice any non-working links? I'm in Spring cleaning mode here.

It's a judgement call about which of the old threads go. I do want to keep the history intact- it's pretty interesting- and as mentioned, everybody who ever posted is still listed as a member.
So there are lots of inactive folks on the list, some with multiple ID's, and that's OK.
Going forward, I'll be checking the links posted around the place, updating things and editing.

I added a guestbook, after asking how to do it at ProBoards support. We get a lot more guests than members, so they now have a place to comment or ask a question, whatever.
