Anyone aware of Robert Conti? I've just ordered one of his books/cds and am looking forward to working on my improv skills. I know his chord melody arrangements are great and you can get a free sample here: www.robertconti.com

Received the Conti book. Upon first glance, it appears to apply to the self-learner, and the material is very easy to grasp. I'm on lesson one and already see how these jazz lines can apply to my playing. Mr. Conti makes the assumption that the student will have at least an intermediate level of harmonic understanding. I concur, as this is not a beginner level application.

What's the name of the Conti book you got, JA?
I've bought lots of instruction books, always felt that learning even a few things from one made it worth the price.

Hi mahayana, the book is called "Source Code Book One - Jazz Improvisation" and it comes with a CD. I like it because it is very functional and presents the material in a useable way, not like a lot of other "method" books.
